How long have you been working with tape? I have been working with tape since 2019! I was inspired by Black Tape Project and other body tape artists and wanted to come up with my own version: something painterly, feminine, and hopefully a bit psychedelic. I also paint with acrylics and watercolors. My paintings are mostly abstract and focus on colors, brush strokes, flow, and balance. I also craft jewelry and headdresses.

Favorite Project: I recently did my first maternity body tape piece, and I’m so happy with how it turned out!

Inspiration: I do many different kinds of art, and I draw inspiration from all of them. I can see influences from face painting, henna, calligraphy, and a variety of crafting. Cutting and placing tape is very much crafting. I go to a lot of festivals and paint a lot of performers, which has definitely shaped my work. I specialize in paint and tape that will hold up to dance and other movement arts. I also only use vegan and cruelty free products, as well as biodegradable glitter.

My creation process: I always have a concept and a color scheme, but other than that I freehand! Each piece is an experiment with different materials and how they work together. Every time I finish a piece I’m already thinking about what could have worked better, and I’m eager to try again and keep improving.

Favorite tape: My favorite tape is Moonbeam! It has such a fun, color shifting rainbow. I also like to accent everything with Holographic Kryptonite, which also has rainbows in it. I love rainbows!
