In honor of Black History Month, we are pleased to share “The Black Excellence Hoop” 100% of the proceeds for this hoop will go to various organizations supporting the Black community.
This hoop is inspired by the colors of the Pan-African flag, which consists of Black, Green, Red and Yellow. The colors of the flag were chosen to represent the blood, the soil, and the prosperity of Africa and its people.
Red represents passion, aggression, momentum, and – most importantly – blood. Black represents the color of the infinite, the mysterious, the unified, the definitive. Black represents melanin – the chemical that gives color to the Original people.
Green represents color of fertility, productivity, and Mother Nature. It represents the unification of Africa into one mighty nation – protected, self-sustaining, and developed to her full potential.
Yellow is not always seen in the Pan-African flag, however it is inspired by the traditional Ethiopian flag, which has influenced the flags of many Pan-African organizations and politics. Yellow represents the Sun, prosperity, hope, justice and equality.
