Lisa grew up in the western Austrian countryside, right on the borders of Germany and Switzerland — a beautiful, quiet beginning that gave little indication of the globe-spanning performance career ahead. At 19, after her A-levels, she left for a year in the south of France, then made her way to Vienna, where she has been based since 2001.

In Vienna she studied advertising and worked in agencies for several years, until 2003 when she met the right people and began working for PhoenixCreative — an international multimedia and special-effects performance company. By 2005 she had moved from the office onto the stage, and her first poi spinner appeared in her hands even earlier, at a shop in London's Covent Garden in 1999.

For a decade, Lisa toured the world as both a stage performer and company coordinator for PhoenixCreative — an international multimedia and special-effects performance company based in Vienna. This was not just a stage career: she ran the company's bookings from Vienna headquarters and managed their Vienna Circus Arts Center training facility.

This dual role as performer and operations professional gave her a sophisticated understanding of the circus and live entertainment industries from the inside — a perspective that shapes everything from how she runs her solo career to how she organizes the conventions and festivals she now leads.

Lisa's performance portfolio centers on multi-hoop spectacle — spinning up to six hoops simultaneously in choreographed sequences that work with LED, fire, UV/blacklight, and special-effect finishes. She performs as solo, duo, and trio, and adapts her acts for stage shows, street performance, and audience interaction.

Lisa does not just perform — she builds the infrastructure that makes community possible. Inspired by the energy she found at international hoop conventions, she decided in 2014 to bring that same spark to Austria.

Lisa has taught at nearly every hoop convention in Europe — a testament both to the quality of her teaching and the respect she holds within the continental community.

Lisa's movement practice extends far beyond the hoop. She is a multiply-certified yoga teacher across aerial, acro, hatha, and specialist disciplines — and has built a dedicated teaching platform, FlyLightYoga.com, to share this work with the world.
