How to Properly Cut Your Hula Hoop Tubing
Cutting straight down flattens the tube. Here is the rotating, top-down technique we use for clean cuts every time.
Video transcript
Now we're going to talk about how to properly cut polypro, HDPE, and polyethylene tubing. Here's a tip: when cutting, do not cut straight down on the tubing — it will cause it to flatten. Instead, use a top-down method where you rotate the cutters as you move them down the tube from top to bottom, almost like a circular motion. We recommend this technique for cutting all types of our tubing.
