Hoopologie will always be inspired by love, creativity, and flow. We are passionate about flow arts — for us it has become woven into our very being. Our love for hooping runs deep: it rejuvenates the body, calms the mind, and sits at the core of who we are.
While Boulder, Colorado is where you can trace our beginnings, our global community is where you'll find our soul. We are committed to giving you the best possible customer experience, tools, ideas, inspiration, and support along the way.
Melinda Rider first handcrafted her own hoops in 1999 with irrigation tubing from the hardware store and decorative tape from her father's business, Identi-Tape. Hula hoops have been in her life ever since — now more than 25 years.

More Than a Shop — A Community Hub
Founded by Melinda Rider in Boulder, Colorado in 2013, Hoopologie was built as a hoop-inspired, DIY hula hoop supply company with a vision larger than commerce. We wanted to create a gathering place where people could learn hoopmaking skills, get creative, and discover the hula hoop as a beautiful alternative to traditional fitness.
Flow, to us, is anything you do, create, express, or feel that is true to your authentic self — and that you put out into the world. We honor that in you. Our platform spans education, performance, and materials, serving artists and makers in more than 40 countries.
